Self-Love

An 8-module journey into radical self-compassion.

Welcome

Welcome to your Deep Dive

You’re about to begin a journey that will transform how you relate to yourself.

This isn’t about positive affirmations or “faking it till you make it.” It’s about learning to treat yourself with the same kindness you’d offer a good friend — especially when things are hard.

By the end, you’ll have practical tools for softening your inner critic, meeting difficult emotions with presence, and making self-love a daily practice.

What is a Deep Dive?

Three books, distilled

A Deep Dive is a focused 8-module course built around three carefully chosen books on a single topic. Instead of skimming the surface, we go deep — synthesizing the best insights and translating them into tools you can use right away.

Do you need to read the books? No. We always encourage reading the originals if you’re inspired to — but this course is designed to give you a complete, transformative experience on its own.

The three books behind this course

Your guides

“All About Love”
by bell hooks

A radical redefinition of love as action, not feeling. We’ve been taught a false definition of love — and learning to love ourselves means unlearning it.

“Radical Acceptance”
by Tara Brach

The practice of embracing our lives with clarity and compassion. Brach’s RAIN method is a powerful tool for meeting difficult emotions without being consumed by them.

“Self-Compassion”
by Kristin Neff, PhD

The research proving self-compassion is more effective than self-esteem. Neff’s three pillars form the practical backbone of lasting self-love.

How to get the most from this

Five gentle guidelines

1 · Go at your own pace

One module at a time. Let each idea settle before moving on.

2 · Do the practices

Reading about self-love won’t change how you treat yourself. The exercises are where the shift happens.

3 · Be gentle with yourself

This work can surface difficult emotions. Meet whatever arises with the compassion you’re learning to cultivate.

4 · Save your reflections

Your written answers stay in your space. Kara can see them, and may gently revisit them with you.

5 · Trust the process

Self-love is a practice, not a destination. You’re not fixing yourself — you’re learning to be with yourself.

The moment we choose to love we begin to move towards freedom.
