These land best one a day — today’s work needs a day to actually happen. Nothing expires and you can’t fall behind; whenever you come back, it’ll be here.
A love letter forward. The last one — and the first day of the rest of it.
Seven days ago I asked you to name one thing you appreciated about yourself, and it was hard. Some of you sat there and nothing came.
Since then you have stood in front of a mirror and said I am enough out loud. You have thanked a body you’ve spent years at war with. You have set down something you’ve been carrying for a decade. You have counted five wins. You have named the no that protects everything else. And yesterday you wrote a letter to a little girl who never got one.
Most people never do any of that. You did all of it, in a week, while working and feeding people and holding everything together.
So today is the last letter, and it goes forward.
Not to who you were. Not even to who you are. To the woman you are already becoming — the one who came out of this week, who is a little harder to talk out of her own worth, who is beginning to suspect she was never the problem.
She is not a fantasy. She started seven days ago. Write to her.
Read what you wrote on Day 1 first. Slowly. Look at how hard that was. That is your starting line, and you should see it before you write the finish.
Then write forward — in the present tense. Not I want to be. Not I hope one day. Write it as though it is already happening, because after this week it already is.
Keep this one. Screenshot it, print it, put it somewhere. On the day you forget all of this — and there will be one — this is the letter you come back to.
The woman I’m becoming is…
This is the one worth keeping. It tends to be truer than people expect.
“Seven days ago you could not name one thing you liked about yourself. Look at what you just wrote.”
— Kara
Seven days was the door. The room is four weeks inside bell hooks’ All About Love, and the idea at its center: self-love isn’t the reward for getting your life together. It’s the foundation you build it on.
Four Thursdays. Forty-five minutes. Live, with me, in a room of women who just did exactly what you did.
You finished, so the class is half price. And the app comes with it — Kara, all five Deep Dives, the whole library — free for a full year. You’re not paying for it; it comes with the seat.
Take my seat — $99 →Half off and the free year hold for 30 days from today. After that the class is $199 and the app is $499. See everything that’s included.
